Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 301 of Temecula

Troop 301 was the first Boy Scout Troop in Temecula Valley.
We are chartered by the Rotary Club of Temecula and have been serving the Temecula Valley since October 1976.

The mission of Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America) is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

The Scouting program has specific objectives, commonly referred to as the “Aims of Scouting.” They are character development, leadership development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Leadership development is also one of Scouting's eight methods contributing to both good character and good citizenship.

*Troop 301 meets Mondays at 7PM at Lake Village Community Clubhouse, (30151 Rancho Vista Rd, Temecula, CA) with the exception being when a Patrol Leader's Council takes place or during Holiday breaks.

Troop 50th Anniversary

The Troop’s Celebration is this Sunday the 4th. We are asking for everyone’s help to make this a memorable experience, this is not just for the current scouts and, leaders but for all who will be in attendance. As a reminder the festivities will be at Harveston Park, on the northwest end by the sports fields under the Gazebos. We will be arriving before 2pm to set up

Troop Bowling Event

the Troop will be hosting a fun day out to go bowling. On Oct. 11th Scouts and Leaders who are able to attend can join in the activity. The goal will be to gather as a Troop outside our normal to test your skills, and for those scouts who haven’t yet earned their spots Merit Badge can add to the fun and learn along the way. Details and cost to follow very soon.

Troop Elections

The Troop elections will be held on Oct. 19th during our Monday meeting. Since the voting event is soon upon us, take this opportunity for those scouts working on their next rank to think about what each position within the Troop or even your own patrol that you haven’t yet held, and or what it represents to take on that position. Be prepared to bring a few ideas to vote.

Halloween Scout Fair

Tahquitz District is hosting their annual recruiting event again, this year will be especially unique as it will host both Cub and Troop Scout units. The goal is to share what scouting is all about while spreading scout spirit, the Troop is asking for scouts as well any and all leaders who can help run a booth to assist in both table games and answer any questions. The event will be held on Oct. 24th at the Alta Murrieta Sports park from 10am - 4pm

Geocaching Hike

Come join the Troop 301 for their first official adventure out. The Scouts will be going on a hike while discovering and learning about all things Geocache as well as learning the principles of “Leave no Trace” The date of the Hike is planned for Saturday, November 7th and location is TBD…

Troop 50th Celebration

The Troop is actively planning for its amazing 50th Anniversary! which will be held at Harveston Park near the sports fields under the Gazebos. We are also asking for Volunteers and ideas for the big event. Celebration will be Oct. 4th from 2 to 4pm, and ceremony at 3pm to follow.
