Troop 301 was chartered in 1976 and is the oldest troop in Temecula. Hundreds of boys over the years have joined the troop and shared in the learning and fun. We have been fortunate to have a great number of boys achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank in Boy Scouts. On average, only 8% of all scouts reach the rank of Eagle Scout nationally. Troop 301 is committed to giving every Scout the opportunity and guidance to earn the rank of Eagle Scout and have fun doing it.
Troop 301 is a very active troop and is lead by the boy leaders under the direction of trained adult leaders. The troop welcomes each boy who wants to participate in the Scouting program from all over the Temecula Valley. The troop offers programs for new Scouts and experienced Scouts, using the Patrol method. The troop committee works hard to provide reasonable resources and equipment so the Scouts have a fun and rewarding experience in Scouting. As of 2024, we have over 16 scouts in the Troop and about 11 active adult leaders and committee members who are dedicated to providing the support necessary for the boy led troop. To continue to provide the Scouting opportunity to those who wish to participate requires that each new member participate in the program and activities offered by the troop.
Troop 301 meets most Mondays @ 7PM at the Assistance League in Temecula (28720 Vía Montezuma, Temecula, CA 92590) with the exception being when a Patrol Leader's Council takes place or during Holiday breaks. Please check the calendar.
